If you feel behind on starting anew for January 2021, fear not, because in the Indian tradition, the New Year officially and cosmically begins on the first New Moon of January. This will occur on the 12th/13th in sidereal Sagittarius. (Timings will vary according to where you are.)

Moon transits the nakshatra or constellation of Uttara Ashadha, the star of ‘unstoppable victory’ lorded by the Sun. A powerful energy for forward movement towards righteousness! It is also connected to Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, as the star’s symbol is an elephant’s tusk. A reminder also that Ganapati (Ganesha) is always honoured before we begin anything new to ensure success!

Other traits of this star space include, discipline, organisation and leadership. This indicates a promising start for our new beginning.

Have you created your vision for this year?

I’m a big believer in goals.

Goals, whether attained or not, serve the purpose of moving you towards your inner potential.

As Bruce Lee said, “A goal is not always meant to be reached, it often serves simply as something to aim at.”

Without an aim or purpose, it’s likely we will get stuck in remaining in our old problems and dark stories. Without obstacles in our path, we don’t face our fears and challenge our inner patterns and grow!

Keep your eye on victory. There are no real failures, just pertinent life lessons and growth!

Put all of your creativity and wisdom into practical action.

Establish the order and rhythms that support the growth and success you seek this year!

JOURNAL THIS:

➼ What will move you closer towards your dreams and goals?

➼ What must you give up to attain them?

➼ What daily rhythms or rituals must you establish to align with your purpose?

➼ What are the obstacles?

YOGA ORACLE MESSAGE

PITTA –the fiery dosha. Powerful, strong-willed, and feisty.

A theme that has been running through my own life this past year! Pitta is our inner heat, it includes the stormy and turbulent energy of rage, anger and grief along with creative power and playful energy. Upright this card indicates a sense of empowerment — that you are in a determined place in your life. Use this energy well with focus and control. Channel your power towards your goals and dissolve what needs to be released and transformed — it is in your ability to do so. Work, create and play or step into a leadership role and teach your wisdom. See my previous journalling prompts and oracle message for further guidance and clarity!

Rise Up, Warrior.
