The New Moon on May 11th in Krittika nakshatra is about cutting and burning away that which is not aligned with our inner truth and purpose.

The symbol for Krittika which means ‘the Cutter’ is a sharp blade. You can either use this shakti to create or destroy — the choice is yours! The result either way is for the ending of something that is not serving the divine Self. Sun’s rulership of this constellation indicates that a purification is needed in order to connect with our higher knowledge and consciousness. Agni as the deity here suggests that a perceptive and discerning power is required for this cutting or burning away action.

Purify your mind (thoughts and habits), your body (eat and move enough to nourish yourself) and emotions (slow down and digest feelings). Think also to your relationships and spiritual practices.

Lighten the load to prepare for the highly auspicious day of the year in the Indian Calendar! 14th May marks the Vedic celebration — Akshaya Tritiya — the day of eternal prosperity! (Move towards joy, wealth, success and good health). It is said that any positive action taken on this day will reap good results and grow. So set your intentions now and take a big action step to support it on the 14th!
