Why Manifestation Isn’t Working (And the Yogic Secret to Lasting Alignment)
Do you truly believe in your own power?
Any immediate doubt or hesitation — that sinking feeling — reveals the reality that continues to unfold for you.
The law of the root chakra (Mūlādhāra) is simple: your physical reality is a mirror of your subconscious beliefs, shaped by karmic patterns, saṃskāras (mental impressions), and your relationship with stability and survival.
If you keep facing the same struggles — whether in love, money, or self-worth — you may be trapped in an unconscious karmic cycle. To break free, ask yourself:
- What situations do I find myself in again and again?
- What belief might be keeping me stuck here?
Once you recognise the pattern, you can begin the work of shifting it.
Look around your room right now.
Is there beauty, structure, and inspiration? Or does it reflect overwhelm, confusion, and stagnation? Do the objects in your space, including your clothes, reflect the identity of the person who already embodies your dream life?
Now go deeper.
On a scale of 1–10, how regulated is your nervous system?
How deep is your breath?
How aware are you of the quality of your thoughts?
When your nervous system is dysregulated — whether due to stress, trauma, or subconscious fear — you operate from survival mode. This means you may unknowingly repel the very things you desire. Regulating your nervous system is the first step to stepping into your true power.
Forget ‘manifestation’ if your roots are murky. Forget calling in your desires if you’re not aware of the seeds planted in your subconscious — or worse, if there are no seeds at all.
In Yoga, this seed is called Sankalpa — a soul-level intention that takes root over time, through effort, devotion, and commitment. It’s not just a material goal or fleeting desire — it’s the source of clarity that aligns life to YOU.
Here’s the Truth:
Deep down, you already sense that new-age, colonial, and capitalist spirituality will never deliver the transformation you seek.
Everyone loves ‘manifestation techniques’ (a.k.a. watered-down indigenous knowledge), but few believe in their own power.
Most people are conditioned to give away their Shakti — their energy, creative force, and attention — to distractions, illusions, and gimmicks designed to keep them stuck.
But true power? True transformation? That requires grounding, discipline, and commitment to something real.
A Lost Root System Cannot Manifest Anything.
To take back your power, stop outsourcing your energy to practices that only serve the surface.
Many ‘spiritual’ teachings today, severed from their roots, colonised to their core, feed the ego and shadow self rather than guiding you toward real transformation.
You have to confront the parts of you that resist change. Some part of you loves the attachment to your old ways — so much so that you seek it out to sustain it. And the things that feel like ‘synchronicity’ are often the very things designed to feed illusions that keep you stuck.
What then, is True Power?
Shakti — the feminine creative force — is symbolised by a downward-facing triangle.
Picture this inverse triangle. What does it represent?
It’s a pot — a vessel, a receiver. Its single point faces the earth, grounding energy into form. This rootedness to the earth bestows clarity of vision and fearlessness of expression.
You must heal your roots to align your path.
If your inner world and container: the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual body, lack nourishment, clarity, and true cosmic guidance, how can your power ever take form?
If you’ve lost touch with your ancestral traditions, know this:
Anyone can root into Dharma — but not everyone has the humility and dedication to walk the path. True anchoring requires a conscious relationship with its cultural roots, wisdom, and people.
In the dharmic way of life, interconnectedness is not just philosophy — it is the very fabric of existence. Reciprocity is not merely a moral ideal; it is a natural law. If you are establishing roots here, ask yourself: How are you honouring and nurturing the very wisdom that sustains you?
Manifestation vs. Yoga — A Deeper Truth
If you’ve ever felt frustrated with manifestation techniques, it’s not your fault. There’s a deeper truth hidden beneath the surface — one that Yoga has understood for thousands of years…
At first, manifestation may seem like an opposing idea. After all, the ultimate goal of Yoga is Mokṣa — liberation from attachment, including attachment to desires.
Modern manifestation techniques often emphasise ‘thinking positive’ and ‘visualising success’ as a way to attract what you desire. But Yogic wisdom teaches that true transformation arises not from mental tricks, but from profound inner alignment.
When you are rooted in Dharma, external reality shifts naturally — not as a forced pursuit, but as an organic expression of your inner state. It is not about ‘attracting’ from a place of lack. It is about becoming the embodiment of what you seek. Not by forcing. Not by chasing. But through Dharma, discipline (Tapas), unwavering commitment, and surrender.
Ask Yourself:
How can you believe in your own power if your sense of belonging is scarce?
How can you own your Shakti, when the subconscious belief of ‘I am not enough’ has been planted within you by external forces — designed to keep you disempowered?
Stop outsourcing your energy to systems that siphon your power to keep themselves alive.
Root yourself instead in ancestral wisdom and indigenous knowledge — untouched by colonial and capitalist agendas.
Waking up is a choice.
So is feeding your delusions (Māyā).
It’s time to heal your roots.
To believe in your own power.
To align with Dharma.
So the question is: Will you feed another illusion? Or invest in timeless wisdom?
Where is your Shakti — your power, your energy, your money — going?
Are you nourishing yourself or starving your soul of belief, attention, and care?
