Yoga Energy Reading for Self Care Habits

In the dominant culture, the weekend is when we usually seek to unwind, rest and ‘escape’ from the drudgery of a 40 hour working life existence — toxic much? It is a time for focusing on our self care and self love practices — practices which Ayurveda would recommend as being part of our daily routine.

These daily self care rituals are known as ‘Dinacharya’ and has been practiced for thousands of years.

For many of us, big world events have shaken up our lifestyles, specifically the outer structures; perhaps what we were living for has been dismantled or has completely collapsed, disappeared. In this uncertainty and change, we have an opportunity to redevelop and rebuild our inner structures or habits.

Think about timing of sleep and meals; look to the Sun as it rises to align eating habits, consume food when agni, the digestive fire is high for example, (mirror the macrocosm in all things).

Nurture your morning and night rituals with attention and consistency of practice to reap the benefits of a clearer, more integrated body, heart and mind, and indeed address each of these basic layers of your being daily.

Ayurveda emphasises routine and ritual as the pillars for health.

Start the day right. End the night well. Feel better.

Are you hearing the call to live more authentically and simply?

Why not use these changes to our advantage by laying a healthier inner base that aligns with the rhythms and cycles of nature?

YOGA ENERGY ORACLE

Revered in ancient Vedic texts as the creator god, Brahma’s energy supports us to indeed begin again! Create anew. Renewal and rebirth is the message — a shift in identity, values and how you perceive the world entirely is encouraged right now! Consort to the Goddess of Creativity herself, Saraswati, Brahma represents the wisdom, will and knowledge behind the Universe, behind all creation.

It is time to create, to evolve. What new ideas have you not yet taken action on? What exciting thoughts have you been sitting with?

Start to lay the foundation of your new reality and begin to nurture its growth. Life is cyclical. Brahma’s rosary symbolises the time cycle through which the world moves from creation to sustenance, from sustenance to dissolution, and from dissolution to new creation.

Remember, all is born from darkness. You must interrogate the unconscious to know where best to plant new seeds, and water them with your consciousness to bring them to form, to light.

What does the authentic version of you look like?

In the later texts, Brahma is said to be born from the lotus that emerges from Vishnu’s navel. The lotus shows us that beauty comes from darkness, and Vishnu reminds us of our Dharma, our true purpose and path.

Emerge out of your old Self, retire the stagnant living.

Take care of your soul.

Focus energy on creating, on shaping your ultimate reality.
